Data Collector / flexible part-time job / 4 to 40 hours a week

Open 58d
This is a part-time job that fits around your life. Work 4 to 40 hours a week, choosing from three daily shifts between 7:00 and 21:00, Monday to Friday.

At mimic, we build robots that learn new skills directly from you. We're a deep-tech startup in Zurich, backed by leading investors and working on one of the most exciting problems in tech.

As a Data Collector, you'll generate the data that teaches our robots how to move. Wearing our data-capture gloves (have a look here!), you'll perform manual tasks by hand and collect the human demonstrations our models learn from.

We run three shifts a day, Monday to Friday, each 4 hours long. Work a single shift or combine two in a row for an 8-hour day. You choose how much you work, from 4 to 40 hours a week:

  • Morning — 8:00 to 12:00 (possibility to start earlier 7:00-11:00 or later 9:00-13:00)
  • Afternoon — 13:00 to 17:00
  • Evening — 17:00 to 21:00 (possibility to start later 18:00-22:00)

What you'll do:
  • Put on our data-capture gloves (see here) and get going: gather rich datasets and help our robots learn directly from human hands.
  • Collect and label high-quality datasets.
  • Work with the team to keep data collection running smoothly.

What you bring:
  • Tolerance for repetitive work.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A clear communicator and team player.
  • You speak English or German.

What we offer:
  • 25 CHF/hour.
  • Plannable hours that still fit around your life: pick from 4 to 40 hours a week. Scale back during exam season and holidays.
  • A great office right next to MFO Park in Oerlikon.
  • Amazing teammates.
