12-month contract Data Engineer role in Singapore for a global fintech client, recruited via Ethos BeathChapman. Day-to-day work involves building and supporting large-scale data pipelines using Spark (on Cloudera), Kafka, Hive, and Airflow, with advanced SQL and Python/Bash scripting. Candidates must be able to start within a month without visa sponsorship.
Our client is a leading global fintech organisation seeking a Data Engineer on a 12-month contract to support high-priority data initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum of 5–8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, including at least 2 years working extensively with Apache Spark. Proven hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) in a production environment. Strong expertise in Apache Spark, including Spark Core, Spark SQL, and performance tuning. Solid experience building and supporting large-scale data pipelines using Kafka, Hive, Spark, and Airflow. Advanced SQL skills with proven capability in data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting within Linux-based environments.
