Data Engineer (3 Month Contract)

Help accelerate our data transformation journeyWe're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join MediAesthetics on a 3-month contract and help strengthen the foundations of our cloud data platform.Working within our Technology team, you'll play a hands-on role designing, building and optimising data pipelines across Azure Databricks and our wider data ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, improving data quality and delivering scalable solutions that support business intelligence, analytics and decision-making.You'll partner closely with Technology, Analytics and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data is available across the organisation.What you'll be doingDesign, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure DatabricksBuild and support data ingestion processes from internal and external source systemsDevelop API integrations and automated data pipelinesWrite and optimise SQL queries for extraction, transformation and validationBuild automation and data processing solutions using PythonInvestigate and resolve data quality, integrity and performance issuesMonitor and troubleshoot production data pipelinesCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver data solutions that support reporting and analyticsDocument data architecture, transformations and data flowsWhat you'll bring4+ years' experience in a Data Engineering or similar roleStrong hands-on SQL experience, including query optimisation and complex transformationsPractical experience using Python for automation, scripting and data processingExperience working with Azure, Databricks and cloud-based data platformsKnowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes and API integrationsExperience with Git, source control and CI/CD practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityExcellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhy join us?This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful data and technology initiatives in a growing healthcare and retail business.
