Data Engineer (3 years+ experience)
Summary
On-site Data Engineer in Bangkok (3+ years experience) building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using SQL and Python, with cloud data platforms like BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake orchestrated via Airflow; big data (Spark) and streaming (Kafka/Pub/Sub) exposure is valued.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
3 years+ of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar roles.
Internship or project-based experience involving data pipelines or ML/analytics platforms is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Foundational to intermediate skills in SQL and Python; knowledge of Scala is a plus.
Solid understanding of data processing and transformation workflows (ETL/ELT).
Experience or familiarity with data platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
Knowledge of data orchestration tools, including Airflow or Cloud Composer.
Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark, Spark SQL, or Hive is beneficial.
Familiarity with common cloud data formats such as Parquet, CSV, and JSON.
Prior experience with GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc) is preferred.
Experience with streaming or messaging technologies like Kafka or Pub/Sub.
Exposure to technologies such as Feature Stores, Elasticsearch, or Cassandra is a plus.
