JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Informatica PowerCenter / ETL Engineer with strong experience in the development, administration and support of enterprise ETL platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (IPC) and a solid background in IICS/IDMC, Oracle, SQL and Unix/Linux environments.

The role combines ETL development with platform administration, deployment and production support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and support ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Develop and maintain Informatica mappings, workflows and related ETL components.
• Work with IICS/IDMC environments and integration components.
• Gather technical and business requirements and translate them into ETL designs and solutions.
• Prepare technical and design documentation for development activities.
• Install, configure and administer Informatica environments.
• Perform Informatica version upgrades, hotfix installations and platform maintenance.
• Configure and maintain Informatica plug-ins and Secure Agents.
• Manage Informatica licenses and environment configurations.
• Perform code and object deployments across different environments and versioned repositories.
• Monitor Informatica servers, services, jobs and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain administration and monitoring scripts.
• Troubleshoot ETL jobs, platform issues and production incidents.
• Provide L3 production support for Informatica applications and infrastructure.
• Coordinate resolution activities during critical incidents and outages.
• Work with database, infrastructure and application teams to resolve integration and production issues.
• Support backup and operational automation activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (IPC).
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter 9.x and/or 10.x.
• Strong experience in Informatica Development, Administration and Production Support.
• Experience with IICS / IDMC.
• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and data integration.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with Oracle databases.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience with Informatica deployments and repository management.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production ETL environments.
• Experience providing L3 support for business-critical production systems.

Additional / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
• Experience with Talend.
• Knowledge of Amazon Redshift.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Knowledge of Crontab and Informatica Scheduler.
• Experience with TAC (Talend Administration Center).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos.
• Basic knowledge of C.
• Experience working with Solaris and AIX environments.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 8+ years of relevant Informatica / ETL experience.
• Strong hands-on technical background rather than purely managerial experience.
• Able to work independently across development, administration and support activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working in complex enterprise production environments.
• Experience coordinating with multiple technical teams during incidents and outages.
• Able to participate throughout the lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, deployment and production support.
