Data engineer – ai / agentic ai exposure
Summary
Data engineer in Cape Town working on data migration and modernisation projects, building data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with Python, SQL and cloud data platforms (GCP preferred, Azure considered), plus hands-on exposure to AI/LLM and agentic AI frameworks like LangChain and CrewAI.
We’re looking for a strong Data Engineer with traditional Data Engineering experience, who also has some exposure to AI / LLMs / Agentic AI and is interested in working on data migration and modernisation projects.
What we’re looking for:
• 3+ years’ Data Engineering experience
• Strong Python & SQL
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT and cloud data platforms
• Some exposure to AI / LLMs / Agentic AI or frameworks such as Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Llama Index, Auto Gen or Crew AI
• Experience with REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD and modern software engineering practices
• Experience with GCP preferred , but strong Azure experience will also be considered
