The Data Engineer (AMI) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure required to support AMI data collection, processing, storage, and analytics. The role ensures data availability, performance, scalability, and reliability for operational and analytical users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Cloud / Data Engineering certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in data engineering or similar roles.

  • Expertise in data pipeline design and development.

  • Proficiency in databases and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system optimization skills.

  • Experience working with large-scale data systems, preferably utility or AMI environments.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams including IT, cybersecurity, and operations.

  • Written and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
