Data Engineer - AML/Regulatory
Summary
Data Engineer builds and maintains AML/regulatory data pipelines using SQL, designs data quality rules, and documents lineage for a major bank.
Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Data Engineer - AML/Regulatory who will perform data analysis using SQL, propose data quality rules. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is able to explore data, write accurate SQL code, and create a data lineage document.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data is maintained in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Support the QA team with data analysis/investigations of complex issues/test cases as part of SIT/UAT/PAT testing.
- Provide oversight on post-implementation activities.
- Execute code check-in/check-out into the source code repository as part of source code management.
- Work closely with the technology team to support code packaging & deployment into higher environments.

- 7 years of Business Mindset with experience in creating requirements for the technology team
- 7 years of expertise in Data Analytics
- 7 years of experience in Data Exploration and wrangling
- 7 years of experience in Data quality rules design
- 7 years of familiarity with various databases – Oracle and SQL Server
- Out-of-box thinking
- Hands-on experience with SQL
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Nice To Have:
- Experience working in the Banking domain
- Expertise in AML
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL
- Exposure to Regulatory Projects
