Contract (6+ months, 100% remote in Canada, $90–100/hr) data engineer / analytics developer role modernizing Guidewire insurance reporting for an Avanciers client: building Azure Databricks/Spark SQL and Microsoft Fabric pipelines with Power BI to migrate legacy Actuate BIRT and Informatica reporting to the cloud.

Compensation Range: $90-$100 per hour

We are having an urgent opening for a Data Engineer / Analytics Developer Please find below the Key Requirements:
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks and Spark SQL
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Guidewire reporting experience
- Actuate BIRT experience
- Strong Python and SQL development skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Semantic Models, Power BI)
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter
- Experience with LLM applied to SDLC
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and analytics architecture
- Experience migrating legacy reporting platforms to cloud-based solutions
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
