As a Data Engineer & Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and supporting the database and reporting infrastructure for PB Tech’s ecommerce and ERP systems.

Your primary focus will be on database administration, advanced SQL/MySQL query development, end-to-end data processes, automation and AI-enhanced analytics.

Please note that this is a full-time, five-days-per-week onsite role based in East Tamaki.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer SQL and MySQL databases: ensuring data availability, optimal performance, and security.

  • Design, write, and optimize complex SQL/MySQL queries for reporting, analysis, and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Build, automate, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across ecommerce, ERP, and finance platforms, including some Azure integration.

  • Develop dynamic, actionable reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.

  • Maintain data quality through robust cleansing and reconciliation workflows.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data models and support changing business needs.

  • Support documentation, automation, and data management best practices.

  • Work with business and technical teams to identify opportunities for AI tool adoption for analytics and business process automation.

What You'll Bring

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence role.

  • Excellent SQL/MySQL query writing skills are essential.

  • Proven experience with database administration (SQL Server, MySQL).

  • Extensive Power BI and Excel skills for analytics and visualization.

  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, with capability to integrate data via APIs.

  • Familiarity with data cleansing and reconciling for finance, supply chain, or ecommerce.

  • Interest and/or experience in automation (e.g., Power Automate) is valued.

  • Python scripting or development experience is advantageous and will be highly regarded.

  • Experience working with ERP/ecommerce data is a plus.

  • Standard working days are Monday to Friday, with occasional work required outside of regular hours. (Flexibility is offered to accommodate these needs. However, availability on Mondays is essential).
