Summary
Data engineer in Singapore working with MPP/OLAP databases and distributed query engines. Day to day involves building and tuning data pipelines and lakehouse architectures using Apache Doris (or StarRocks/ClickHouse/Greenplum), Trino/Presto, table formats like Iceberg/Delta Lake/Hudi, and strong SQL optimization.
Availability: Immediate / Short Notice preferred
Key Requirements:
- Strong hands-on production experience with Apache Doris or StarRocks / ClickHouse / Greenplum.
- Excellent SQL skills with complex queries, CTEs, window functions and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of MPP/distributed query execution and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Trino / Presto.
- Experience with Apache Iceberg / Delta Lake / Hudi and lakehouse architectures.
- Exposure to Snowflake / Apache Spark and workload migration.
- Experience with Parquet/ORC and cloud object storage.
- Proficiency in Python, Java or Scala.
- Good knowledge of Git and CI/CD for data pipelines.
Must Have: Apache Doris/MPP + Trino + Strong SQL
