Data Engineer

Summary

Build and maintain data pipelines, integrate systems, and ensure reliable data flows using Python, Kafka, and cloud tools for analytics and AI-driven insights.

Does your passion lie within the entire data analytics engineering chain, and do you enjoy working on client projects one moment, further developing, implementing, and maintaining our own data management platforms the next, and supporting the client with support questions the next? Then apply!

Due to the growing rollout of our solutions and services, we are looking for talented and experienced data management engineers.

If you are proactive, solution-oriented, believe in continuous learning, and possess good communication skills, then make an impact for our clients together with us.

With our solutions, we collect and process data vertically from the machines up to the higher-level applications, and horizontally for digitized chain processes, such as supply chain, product, and process quality. We ensure that the data is fully reliable and available, always through Identity & Access Management. And we create data-related value through Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. About the role: As a Data Engineer, you work across development, deployment, and support, and are involved in functionalities ranging from connectivity, processing, and integration to analytics, where data governance forms a key foundation as a ‘way of working’. Additionally, you are instrumental in the implementation of workflows, data flows, system integration, and supporting data governance.

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL and Git
  • Experience with Apache Kafka
  • Database management knowledge (SQL, NoSQL and TSDB)
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Data analytics experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Only applications with EU Citizenship or working permit for Netherlands will be processed. No Visa is Sponsored! Furthermore, you already need to be a resident in The Netherlands.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Experience with Apache Spark and/or Databricks
  • Familiarity with stream processing frameworks (e.g. Apache Flink)
  • Understanding of data governance and security practices
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Dutch speaking and writing
