Data Engineer (AWS/ Python)
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions and pipelines. You will work with Oracle, Python and AWS technologies to support data integration, transformation and processing across enterprise systems.

- Working Hours: Mon-Fri
- Salary Package: Up to $6500 (basic) + AWS + VB (2-3 months)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop data processing and automation solutions using Python.
- Work extensively with Oracle databases, including SQL/PL/SQL development, query optimization and performance tuning.
- Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions and pipelines on AWS.
- Integrate data from multiple applications, databases, APIs and external sources.
- Design and optimize data models, database structures and data transformation processes.
- Implement data validation, quality checks, monitoring and error-handling mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline, database and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support batch processing, data migration and large-volume data processing activities.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, analytics and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Ensure data solutions comply with security, governance and operational requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation covering data pipelines, architecture, data mappings and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Development or Database Engineering.
- Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for data processing, storage and/or database workloads.
- Good understanding of data modelling, database design and performance optimization.
- Experience with data quality, monitoring and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Linux and REST APIs would be advantageous.
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS, Redshift, EMR or Athena would be an added advantage.
