As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and operating modern data pipelines on Microsoft Azure, supporting both batch and near real‑time analytics use cases. You will work closely with solution architects, analysts, and data scientists to design robust data models and lakehouse‑based architectures. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise with Azure’s data ecosystem, along with a DevOps mindset to ensure reliable, automated, and scalable deployments. You will take end‑to‑end ownership of data delivery, from ingestion to analytics readiness. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure‑based data pipelines
- Transform raw data into high‑quality, analytics‑ready datasets
- Develop and maintain data models using dimensional and lakehouse principles
- Design solutions for batch and near real‑time data processing
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for data platforms
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and data scientists to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
- Drive ownership, delivery excellence, and proactive problem‑solving
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory
- Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong working knowledge of Azure Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with data modeling (dimensional & lakehouse architectures)
- Hands‑on exposure to batch and near real‑time processing
- Experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Databricks or Microsoft Fabric certifications
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
