We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. You will work with technical teams and business stakeholders to transform data requirements into reliable, efficient data workflows that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.
This role is suited for an early-career Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure Synapse, Python, and SQL, who enjoys solving data challenges and working across both technical and business requirements.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across cloud data platforms. Build and optimise data models, transformations, and processing workflows using Python and SQL. Develop and maintain data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics. Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and structured for downstream consumption. Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipeline performance, reliability, and efficiency. Support data integration, quality assurance, and documentation activities.
Requirements
Up to 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles. Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and pipeline development. Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and data integration workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred.
Good to Have
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Power BI. Exposure to business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process documentation. Familiarity with the broader Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory.
