Data Engineer
You will build and operate a reliable, user-friendly data platform and data products. You will design core data models, create observable ingestion and transformation pipelines, and establish data quality, governance, and lifecycle standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into measurable data solutions and contribute to technical strategy and roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate a performant, reliable, user-friendly data platform.
- Design the core data model for advanced analytics and reporting.
- Define data quality, governance, and lifecycle standards with clear processes and documentation.
- Design, implement, and maintain observable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation.
- Apply engineering practices including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and versioning.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business goals into measurable data solutions.
- Contribute to team strategy and roadmapping.
Requirements
- Build production-grade dataflows with Python and SQL.
- Schedule and operate dataflows with Airflow or Dagster.
- Model and test transformations in dbt.
- Work with AWS; GCP and Azure are also welcome.
- Provision cloud resources using Terraform or similar tools.
- Operate Snowflake, including roles, permissions, performance, and cost optimisation.
- Understand data quality and governance fundamentals, including validation, documentation, lineage, and privacy.
