Data Engineer
We’re seeking a skilled Data Engineer (contractor) to help our client build and scale their data infrastructure using Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines
- Work with streaming and batch data ingestion
- Optimize data quality and reliability
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams
- Influence architecture decisions and shape best practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Databricks in production environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Comfort with autonomy, ambiguity, and fast-paced environments
Details
- Contract role (6 months +), with potential extension
- Ideally 2 days a week onsite in Warrington, but can offer some flex if this is not feasible
