Hands-on contract Data Engineer (hybrid, Edinburgh) supporting the final stages of a migration from a legacy data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric: testing outputs, debugging data differences, remediating pipelines, and providing post go-live support. Core tech: Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, PySpark, SQL, Power BI.

Requirements:- Microsoft Fabric experience on at least one real-world commercial project
- Strong, demonstrable Microsoft Synapse development experience
- Excellent PySpark and SQL skills
- Experience building and developing data pipelines
- Strong data testing, validation, and debugging skills
- Experience working across data warehouse migrations or modernisation projects
- Power BI experience would be beneficial
- Join a major data transformation programme in Edinburgh
- Support the final stages of the migration from a legacy data warehouse to a new Microsoft Fabric environment
- Test outputs, identify and debug differences in data, and make remedial changes to prepare the new environment for production
