Data Engineer
Summary
Contract data engineer (Inside IR35, hybrid in Edinburgh) helping finish a migration from a legacy data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric: testing outputs, debugging data diffs, and applying fixes for production go-live, then supporting pipelines and reporting afterwards. Core stack: Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, PySpark, SQL, with Power BI a plus.
In this contract role, you will support a data transformation programme moving from a legacy data warehouse to a Microsoft Fabric environment. You’ll focus on the final migration steps, validate outputs, and fix data diffs to ready the Fabric setup for production. After go-live, you’ll help with post‑go‑live support and ongoing data pipelines to meet reporting needs. This position offers hybrid Edinburgh work and a competitive daily rate within Inside IR35, ideal for hands-on specialists who can accelerate the migration and enable reliable analytics.
