Our solutions for accounts payable automation, e-documents, expense management and bank integration help more than 22,000 customers worldwide automate everyday finance processes, delivered through a global network of more than 2,200 reselling partners.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Reporting department. The department is responsible for business intelligence, integrations, and the machine learning and AI that run in production across the company.

You will be joining a small experienced team with different responsibilities on our platform, all owning a part of the setup.

About your role

Your focus will be on building and orchestrating data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

You will:

• Build, orchestrate and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Ingest data from a broad range of source systems and land it reliably in our Data Lakehouse
• Write the SQL and Spark transformations that turn raw data into trusted, documented datasets
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve pipelines already running in production
• Take ownership of data quality, lineage and documentation for the pipelines you build
• Work with the platform around the pipelines, including Unity Catalog, Event Hubs and Service Bus
• Collaborate with the colleagues who build our reporting and ML solutions on top of your data

You will work independently on your own tasks, with close sparring from experienced colleagues.

About you

SQL is your native language. It is the tool you reach for first, and you read, write and reason about it without thinking twice. You also:

• Have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar pipeline and orchestration tools
• Know Python well enough to read, understand and modify code with confidence. You do not need to write it effortlessly
• Have worked with Spark or are keen to learn it
• Understand what Power BI and message-based technologies such as Service Bus are used for
• Work in a structured way, take ownership of what you build and are eager to learn
• Communicate comfortably in English. Danish is a plus but not a requirement

The position is full-time with expected start in February. You will be based at our Aalborg office at Stigsborgvej 60, 9400 Nørresundby.

We work in a hybrid setup and are typically in the office three to four days a week, so fully remote work is not possible.
