Data Engineer | Contract (Outside IR35) | Remote
Location: Remote-first, with occasional London office visits
Contract type: Outside IR35
Duration: 6-month initial engagement

What you'll be doing
- Designing and owning the shared data models every domain reads from (product, customer, location, calendar and cross-functional measures)
- Profiling source systems in BigQuery to establish grain and keys before designing anything
- Defining keys, hierarchies and effective-dated history, and writing the spec for each model
- Working with the engineers building in dbt, and verifying their work against your spec
- Keeping the bus matrix, decision log and data dictionary up to date
- Working alongside the Data Architect and master data team
What you'll bring
- Data modelling experience
- Slowly changing dimensions implemented and maintained in production
- Real dimensional modelling practice
- Fluency reading dbt projects and contracts
- Comfort in BigQuery
- Experience on at least one master data integration, in any tool
