Overview
Cor Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Business Development and Analytics team in either Helsinki or Oulu. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that power the company’s analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own one or more business data integrations, data modeling, and processing pipelines for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with BI analysts to design data models, create new source integrations, and develop ETL processes.
- Build data quality checks, expand our technology stack, and troubleshoot performance and operational issues.
- Leverage AI tools to generate code and aid in design across daily development work.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Solid fundamentals in programming and databases, with a strong inclination towards learning new technologies.
- Experience in data architecture, data platforms, and data model design and implementation.
- Proficiency with Python for data processing and scripting.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL).
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD for automation and version control.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Apache Airflow) is a plus.
- API integration experience is also beneficial.
- Experience or understanding of C/C++ (14+) is an advantage but not required.
- A technical or science university degree is considered an asset.
