Data Engineer building and maintaining petabyte-scale data storage and compute infrastructure (Spark, DuckDB, Trino, ClickHouse), orchestrating batch and real-time jobs, optimizing performance and cost, and handling on-call incident response for Vibe.co's Data Platform team.
Join Vibe's Data Platform team responsible for the entire data backbone including storage, batch compute, and reporting stack. Manage petabyte-scale data and 500,000+ messages per second. Own systems end to end from stakeholder communication to schema design and incident management.
Responsibilities
building and maintaining data storage and compute tools (Spark, DuckDB, Trino, ClickHouse), orchestrating batch and real-time jobs, optimizing performance and cost, on-call incident response, and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, ML, and Finance teams.
Requirements
5+ years experience in production data platforms at scale, expertise in lakehouse storage and compute technologies, experience with modern orchestrators, on-call and incident response experience, and strong communication skills.

Location & Salary
Paris, hybrid work with 3 days in office weekly. Salary range €88,000–€120,000.
