Full Description

Data Eminence is seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and systems that make reliable data available to analysts, applications, and business teams.

You will collaborate with data analysts, software developers, database engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and build efficient data solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
  • Collecting and transforming data from multiple sources
  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Working with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability
  • Building data processing and transformation workflows
  • Monitoring data pipelines and troubleshooting failures
  • Supporting data warehouse and data lake environments
  • Documenting data pipelines, schemas, and processes
  • Collaborating with analysts and developers on data requirements
  • Implementing data validation and quality checks
  • Supporting cloud-based data infrastructure

We believe in learning by doing. You'll gain hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, data warehouses, ETL tools, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in data engineering or a relevant internship
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Basic proficiency in Python or another programming language
  • Good understanding of relational databases
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines
  • Understanding of data structures and data processing concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Exposure to cloud platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with data warehouses is beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
