About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer – Data Warehouse with strong experience in ETL development using DataStage, SQL, Unix/Shell scripting, and enterprise database technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with DB2, Netezza, Snowflake, and Control-M, with exposure to DBT as an advantage.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage.

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Develop and maintain Unix and Shell scripts to support data processing workflows.

  • Work with databases such as DB2 and Netezza.

  • Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data workflows using Control-M.

  • Support data warehouse development, integration, and production processes.

  • Work with Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing and data processing.

  • Troubleshoot ETL jobs, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure reliable data processing.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.

About you

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage / ETL.

  • Proficiency in SQL.

  • Experience with Unix and Shell scripting.

  • Experience working with DB2 and/or Netezza databases.

  • Experience with Control-M or similar scheduling tools.

  • Experience with Snowflake.

  • Experience with DBT (nice-to-have).

  • Experience in data warehouse development and modernization (nice-to-have).

  • Experience in the Insurance industry (nice-to-have).
