Data Engineer

Digis is looking for a Data Engineer to join a long-term project with a US-based technology company operating in the hospitality domain.
About the Project
A B2B SaaS platform that helps hospitality businesses turn operational data into actionable insights and improve commercial performance.
The product is already used in a live production environment and handles significant volumes of data coming from multiple sources. Its data layer plays a central role in supporting analytics, reporting, and day-to-day business processes.
The project is currently focused on further scaling the existing data infrastructure, improving processing efficiency, and increasing the reliability of data workflows.
You will work within an international engineering team and communicate directly with the US-based CTO on technical topics and ongoing product development.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage data pipelines from data ingestion through to analytics-ready models.
Improve the scalability of existing services and break larger components into smaller microservices where appropriate.
Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes using AWS Glue, EMR, and Spark.
Create and improve SQL queries for PostgreSQL and Redshift, with occasional work involving DynamoDB.
Support workloads running in AWS ECS Fargate and configure local environments for development, testing, and deployment.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
1+ years of hands-on production experience with Spark or PySpark.
1+ years of experience with the AWS.
English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
