This role supports our Equities equity-research AI team, with a particular focus on Chinese stock market data.

We are hiring a Data Engineer to build and support AI applications for fundamental equity research, with a particular focus on Chinese stock market data. The role focuses on building reliable pipelines, cleaning and normalizing financial datasets, and making market and company data usable for analysts and AI applications.

Hands-on experience with Wind data is highly preferred.

This data foundation is what makes everything else work: clean, well-structured proprietary and market data is the layer our AI tools and analysts depend on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build ingestion, cleaning, and normalization pipelines for financial and market data.
  • Work with Chinese stock market datasets, including Wind data.
  • Maintain reliable, well-structured datasets for research and AI applications.
  • Resolve common financial data issues across companies, tickers, entities, events, and time series.
  • Partner with analysts and engineers to support data requirements for research workflows.
  • Improve data quality, lineage, documentation, and usability.
  • Help build the AI-ready data layer that consolidates internal and external sources for the equity-research AI team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years in data engineering, data platform, or financial data roles.
  • Strong Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with market data, company data, fundamentals, estimates, or related financial datasets.
  • Specific experience with Chinese stock market data.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Wind data, including its structure, APIs, exports, or common data issues.
  • Strong data modeling, schema design, and pipeline engineering skills.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or other financial data vendors.
  • Mandarin Chinese ability for working with China-market data sources.
  • Experience supporting research, investment, or financial analytics teams.
