About the Role
We're working with a leading technology and consulting organisation seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions across a variety of complex projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, real-time data platforms and advanced analytics environments. You'll play a key role in designing and developing data solutions that support business-critical decision-making while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support analytics and operational workloads.
- Developing data integration solutions across multiple data sources and platforms.
- Supporting real-time and event-driven data processing environments.
- Working with cloud-native technologies and data services.
- Contributing to data architecture, governance and quality standards.
- Supporting CI/CD processes and engineering best practices.
- Collaborating with analytics, application and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
- Participating in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in data engineering, ETL development or data platform delivery.
- Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
- Exposure to modern data technologies such as Kafka, Spark or Flink.
- Experience working within cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, version control and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with container technologies and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
