About the Role

We're working with a leading technology and consulting organisation seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions across a variety of complex projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, real-time data platforms and advanced analytics environments. You'll play a key role in designing and developing data solutions that support business-critical decision-making while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support analytics and operational workloads.
  • Developing data integration solutions across multiple data sources and platforms.
  • Supporting real-time and event-driven data processing environments.
  • Working with cloud-native technologies and data services.
  • Contributing to data architecture, governance and quality standards.
  • Supporting CI/CD processes and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborating with analytics, application and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Participating in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in data engineering, ETL development or data platform delivery.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
  • Exposure to modern data technologies such as Kafka, Spark or Flink.
  • Experience working within cloud environments, ideally AWS.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, version control and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with container technologies and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
