Summary
Remote (Poland-based) senior data engineering contract in the energy sector, blending data engineering, analytics and business consulting. Day to day: gathering business requirements, designing data models, and building Power BI reporting on Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Azure. Pay up to 166 PLN/h depending on experience.

About the role:
This position sits at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Business Consulting.
We are not looking for a purely technical cloud engineer nor a traditional report developer. Instead, we are seeking a senior professional who can combine strong data platform expertise with stakeholder engagement and solution consulting.
You will help define how data should be structured, modeled, and consumed while supporting the evolution of existing analytics products.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and refine business requirements.
Translate business needs into data and analytics solutions.
Work with user stories delivered through the SCRUM backlog.
Design and refine data models for analytics and reporting.
Develop and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
Work with semantic models and large-scale datasets.
Support IT Security reporting and vulnerability analytics initiatives.
Analyze results from security scans and monitoring processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
Contribute to the evolution of Databricks- and Fabric-based analytics solutions.
Participate in maintaining and optimizing existing data products.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
+4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
Microsoft Fabric.
Azure Data Platform.
Strong Power BI knowledge.
Good SQLand DAX skills.
Data modeling experience.
Experience working with large datasets.
Business analysis and KPI definition experience.
Ability to engage with business stakeholders and drive solution discussions.

Power Query (M).
Python or R.
Power Automate.
Microsoft Copilot.
Advanced Excel.
Data Governance experience.
Experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or Risk Reporting domains.
