Description: Data Analytics & BI, Bangalore, IT GBCR

Team Overview:

The IT GBCR BI Analytics team in Bangalore plays a vital role in empowering Global Banking Operations (GBO), Client & Credit Risk teams through data-driven insights and efficient processes. We are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of reporting, automation, and data pipelines, ensuring GBCR has accurate and timely information needed to operate effectively. This includes developing and maintaining critical reports, automating manual tasks, troubleshooting data-related issues, and managing the robustness of our data pipelines. We operate as a key component of a globally distributed team, contributing to critical initiatives that drive business value and informed decision-making within GBO and the wider organization.

Current Responsibilities:

• Reporting & Automation for GBCR:

  • We develop, maintain, and enhance a wide range of reports and dashboards for GBCR teams, utilizing Oracle (OBI/OAP) Power BI & Alteryx to provide clear, actionable insights.

  • We leverage the Power Platform & Alteryx to build solutions that extend reporting capabilities and automate workflows for GBCR.

• Data Pipeline Management & Development:

  • We are responsible for facilitating, managing, and optimizing data pipelines that feed into GBCR reporting and operational systems.

  • We use Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) extensively for data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and manipulation, ensuring data integrity and accessibility from various source systems.

• Troubleshooting & Data Quality Assurance:

  • We proactively monitor data processes and systems, investigating and resolving data quality, accuracy, and availability issues for GBCR stakeholders.

  • We provide rapid incident resolution and communicate effectively with GBCR teams during outages or data-related disruptions.

• Stakeholder Collaboration (GBOCR Focus):

  • We work closely with GBCR teams to understand their evolving reporting and automation needs, translating these into technical requirements and delivered solutions.

  • We act as a liaison between GBCR and broader IT teams, ensuring data requirements are met and technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Global Team & Cross-Functional Contribution:

  • We contribute effectively within a fully decentralized team structure, coordinating with colleagues across different APAC locations and with global headquarters in Paris.

  • We foster a collaborative atmosphere, sharing knowledge and best practices within the global IT GBCR team, particularly concerning GBO operations.

Key Skills & Technologies Employed by Our Team:

• Data Visualization & Reporting: Extensive experience with Power BI and Oracle BI (OBI).

• Data Preparation & Automation: Strong proficiency in Alteryx for complex data workflows, data blending, and predictive analytics integration.

• Data Manipulation & ETL: Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, loading, and complex querying on various database platforms.

• Workflow Automation: Experience leveraging Alteryx & the Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps) for building custom business solutions.

• Data Pipeline Management: Experience in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.

• Troubleshooting & Support: Proven ability to quickly diagnose and resolve data quality, accuracy, and availability issues.

• Stakeholder Management: Effective collaboration with back-office operations teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

• Global Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly within a globally distributed team.

• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Global Banking Operations (GBO) back-office processes is highly advantageous.

General Skills Required:

• Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• 7+ years’ experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / ETL developer roles

• Excellent knowledge of RDBMS and hand-on experience with complex SQL is a must, some experience in noSQL and Big Data Technologies like Hive and Spark would be a plus

• Experience with industrialized reporting on BI tools like Power BI, oracle etc.

• Hands-on experience in Alteryx for data processing, reporting and analytics automation.

· Hands on experience working on SQL and ability to develop complex queries.

• Knowledge of data related industry best practices in the highly regulated CIB industry, experience with regulatory report generation for financial institutions

• Knowledge of industry leading data access, data security, Master Data and Reference Data Management, and establishing data lineage

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with business users across APAC

• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
