Summary

Data Engineer at an industrial digitalization consultancy building scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake solutions for customer projects, primarily using dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, and Azure/AWS.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team!

This permanent position involves a variety of tasks in data and analytics within our customer projects – the role can be tailored according to your preferences and skills. We help our customers develop their business through digitalization, and you will play an important role in building the data foundations that enable data-driven solutions.

You will join a team of experienced professionals from different areas of software expertise. We work in a hybrid mode, with the possibility to work remotely depending on the customer project and your preferences.

Naturally, you will have access to modern tools and strong cooperation with your colleagues.

As a Data Engineer at Etteplan, the role would include (but not be limited to):

  • Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and data platforms
  • Building and maintaining data warehouses and data lake solutions
  • Transforming, modelling and integrating data from various sources into reliable and usable datasets
  • Developing data solutions that support analytics, reporting, AI and other data-driven applications
  • Working closely with Data Scientists, software developers and other specialists to turn business needs into technical solutions
  • Ensuring data quality, reliability, security and maintainability throughout the data lifecycle
  • Contributing to data architecture and the development of modern data platforms
  • Working with both batch and real-time data processing depending on customer needs
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in data engineering, cloud technologies and modern data architectures

We are looking for a person who has:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
  • Experience with data modelling, data pipelines and data warehouses
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Snowflake and/or Databricks
  • Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with data transformation and integration
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Understanding of data architecture and modern data platform concepts
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions for analytics and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good teamwork and communication skills, as well as a “Smarter Together” mindset
  • An applicable educational background

We appreciate also, if you are familiar with:

  • Data architecture paradigms such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Vault and Data Mesh
  • Cloud data services such as Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric or AWS data services
  • Data warehouses and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks
  • Data modelling methodologies and best practices
  • Real-time data processing and streaming technologies
  • IIoT data and industrial data platforms
  • Data integration and orchestration tools
  • Data solutions supporting AI, machine learning and advanced analytics
  • Modern approaches to data quality, governance and observability

At Etteplan we ensure that your compensation is fair and transparent. Your salary reflects your competencies and contributions, in line with our way of working. For this role, the typical monthly salary is 4200-5500€/month, depending on your background.
