Your focus will be on developing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, managing data models, and improving our infrastructure. All to enable smooth data-driven decision-making across the business.

You’ll collaborate closely with analysts and fellow engineers to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions that help Flatpay move faster and smarter.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the team to develop, test, and deploy new functionality and improvements
  • Continuously enhance our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure
  • Lead and take ownership of your own projects within the team
  • Contribute to building and maintaining internal libraries and shared platform components
  • Actively participate in improving systems from an architectural and performance standpoint

Who You Are

You are a pragmatic, flexible, and detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys building clean, efficient, and scalable data systems. You understand when to apply best practices and when to adapt them for real-world constraints.

You’re passionate about designing reliable data infrastructure, automating workflows, and collaborating with others to build data platforms that scale. You communicate clearly and confidently in English, our primary business language, and you’re comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must-haves

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Strong Python and SQL skills in production environments
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design and data modeling principles
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, version control (e.g., Git), and testing best practices

  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
  • Business-level proficiency in English

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Databricks or similar modern data platforms
  • Familiarity with data orchestration and modeling tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Prefect, or Azure Data Factory)
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability systems

We’d still love to hear from you if…

You don’t check every box but you’re a Python- and SQL-savvy problem solver who loves to learn, adapt, and improve data systems.

If you’re curious, collaborative, and excited about shaping Flatpay’s data platform
