data engineer for the Detection platform

Vinted is a second-hand marketplace connecting millions of members across more than 20 markets. Its business units also provide shipping services through Vinted Go and secure payment services through Vinted Pay.

Задачи

• Build foundational capabilities for the Detection platform;
• Solve technical problems with large scope, complexity, and business impact;
• Recognise team efficiency impediments and propose and implement solutions;
• Advocate for improvements to product, performance, and safety.

Требования

• Experience with data streaming frameworks such as Flink;
• Knowledge of Spark Streaming, Storm, Kafka Streams, Kinesis, or similar technologies;
• Experience programming in Java or another JVM language;
• Knowledge of agile, DevOps, automation, testing, build, deployment, and CI/CD;
• Good understanding of compute, storage, and network infrastructure;
• Experience with modern software development life cycle;
• Working proficiency and communication skills in written and verbal English;
• Self-motivated and self-managing with excellent organisational skills.
