The Position

FYUL is preparing for an interim audit in October 2026 and the main year-end audit in March 2027, covering the Printful and Printify platforms. The Finance Data team owns transactional data ingestion, Snowflake transformations, reconciliation deliverables for Accounting, and Looker reporting. This role takes ownership of the audit data workstream after a short, structured ramp-up, working against externally fixed deadlines with direct mentoring from the hiring manager during onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver reconciliation deliverables for Accounting: wallet balance reconciliations, duplicate and missing transaction detection, ERP vs. data warehouse cross-checks by merchant and currency

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies surfaced by Accounting and external auditors, with documented root causes and traceable corrections

  • Build and extend Snowflake transformations supporting audit deliverables and corrections in the revenue data warehouse

  • Extend Looker models enabling Accounting self-service: merchant-level data extraction, reconciliation views, duplicate detection

  • Work directly with Accounting stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver audit-ready outputs on fixed deadlines

  • Document all delivered pipelines, corrections, and edge cases throughout the engagement

Must-have qualifications

  • 4+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering - or 3+ years with strong hands-on experience in financial or transactional data

  • Production experience with Snowflake or an equivalent cloud data warehouse, and advanced SQL

  • Hands-on experience with financial or transactional datasets: reconciliations, ledger-style data, revenue, payments, or billing

  • Track record of independent delivery after onboarding - this engagement has externally fixed deadlines

  • Strong written communication; comfortable working directly with finance and accounting stakeholders

  • Availability to overlap with EET (Riga) working hours

Nice-to-have

  • Prior exposure to audit processes or audit-adjacent delivery (documentation discipline, correction traceability, working against auditor requirements) - a strong plus for this role

  • Experience developing Looker Explores, views, and LookML models

  • Experience with revenue data warehouses or ERP-adjacent pipelines (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)

  • dbt or comparable transformation-framework experience

  • Python for data tooling and automation

  • Familiarity with e-commerce or print-on-demand business models

Engagement details

  • 6-month contract; extension subject to project needs

  • Remote, with required working-hours overlap with the Riga-based team

Success criteria

  • Interim and year-end audit data deliverables produced on schedule and accepted by Accounting and auditors without escalation

  • Delivering independently within 3-4 weeks of start, with mentoring reduced to review-level involvement

  • Complete, documented handover of all pipelines and correction logic by engagement end
