Data Engineer

Summary

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouses for a healthcare SaaS, enabling analytics and AI use cases with SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team at iCareManager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data-driven initiatives. This role will play a key part in enabling analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions within the healthcare domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data

  • Develop and manage data warehouses and data lakes

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across systems

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand data requirements

  • Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, third-party systems)

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks

  • Implement data security and compliance best practices

  • Support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role

  • Strong experience with SQL and database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)

  • Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, Apache Kafka, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Python (or similar programming languages)

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration techniques

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or health-tech domain

  • Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)

  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques

  • Experience supporting AI/ML workflows

  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
