Data Engineer, Inside IR35, £700 p/d
£700 per day (Inside IR35) Hybrid - 2 days per week in Slough or Welwyn Garden City
We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a major data transformation programme within a highly regulated organisation. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing and building a modern cloud-based data platform that will support critical business and regulatory initiatives. You'll be working as part of a high-performing engineering team, helping to develop scalable data pipelines, optimise data models and deliver high-quality data solutions across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
- Develop robust and scalable data models to support analytics and reporting.
- Work closely with architects, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance and engineering best practices are followed.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a strategic enterprise data platform.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expert knowledge of Snowflake.
- Strong experience with dbt.
- Excellent SQL skills and data modelling experience (including star schemas).
- Experience working with time-series data.
- Exposure to market data platforms or financial data feeds would be highly beneficial.
- Experience working within Financial Services is preferred.
