Data Engineer (Java & PL/SQL)

Overview

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Java & PL/SQL) for a long contract based in Amsterdam. It\'s paying well and my client can interview asap!

Role Description

• Design and implement efficient data processing solutions aligned with project and business goals.
• Refactor PL/SQL scripts into Java code, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Develop and manage test automation frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and developers, to ensure seamless integration of data services into applications.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot).
• Experience refactoring PL/SQL scripts into Java services.
• Proficiency in test automation in the Java domain.
• Experience in manual testing of PL/SQL script adjustments.
• Strong understanding of SOAP and REST for service integration.
• Experience with Oracle Forms.
• Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Investigating and resolving performance issues in databases and data retrieval.
• Experience with Java 21.
• Knowledge of message exchange patterns in Java and Oracle SQL stack.

Language Skills: Dutch (B2+).
