Data Engineer Jr.

Summary

Junior Data Engineer operating and supporting GCP-based data pipelines, monitoring Cloud Composer/Airflow orchestrations, and resolving production incidents to ensure data reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support the development of data pipelines using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem
  • Monitor and ensure the stability of data flows orchestrated in Cloud Composer (Airflow)
  • Resolve incidents and operational calls, investigating and correcting root causes to ensure data reliability
  • Provide support and build solutions for Analytics, Data Science, and Software Engineering teams
  • Document operational routines and troubleshooting procedures on the platform
  • Participate in the continuous evolution of best practices, code standards, and data platform infrastructure

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Python, Spark, and SQL for data manipulation and script construction
  • Understanding of fundamental data engineering and cloud architecture concepts
  • Analytical capacity and logical reasoning for structured problem investigation and resolution
  • Clear, proactive, and assertive communication to collaborate with the team and stakeholders
  • Organization, responsibility for deadlines, and monitoring of technical routines in a production environment
  • Continuous learning mindset, technical curiosity, and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience or practical experience with GCP services focused on Data Analytics (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Agent Platform)
