Job Description:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities may include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL and ELT pipelines
- Building reliable and high-performance data platforms and architectures
- Developing and optimising data models and data warehouse solutions
- Ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability across multiple systems
- Working with structured and unstructured datasets from a variety of sources
- Supporting advanced analytics, business intelligence, and reporting initiatives
- Collaborating with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders
- Leveraging cloud platforms and modern data technologies to improve scalability and performance
- Contributing to data governance, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Data Engineering at Junior, Intermediate, or Senior level
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Solid understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience working with modern data ecosystems and scalable architectures
- Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, or similar big data technologies would be advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Passion for building efficient, scalable, and reliable data solutions
Qualification:
- Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience
- Certifications in Data Engineering, Cloud Technologies, Analytics, or related fields would be advantageous
