To support our growing data landscape, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Platform Team .
Your Role
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data structures and pipelines across both our operational systems and analytical data platform. You ensure that our data is reliable, secure, high-performing, and accessible-empowering teams across Alfen with actionable insights.
You will work with a diverse range of data sources, including ERP, HR, service desk systems, and IoT data from our advanced battery solutions.
What You'll Do
Data Engineering & Platform Development -
Design, build and maintain databases and data pipelines across operational systems and the analytical platform -
Develop and optimise Microsoft SQL Server environments (T-SQL, stored procedures, ETL/ELT pipelines) -
Model data using dimensional modelling and data warehouse best practices -
Build and integrate data solutions using Python and modern data engineering tools
Performance, Security & Quality -
Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of databases -
Implement indexing, backup, and recovery strategies -
Safeguard data quality through validation, monitoring, and lineage tracking -
Monitor system performance and resolve incidents proactively
Delivery & Collaboration -
Support releases, migrations, and ongoing improvements of the data platform -
Collaborate in IT projects and contribute to the data roadmap -
Work with tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Matillion, Snow...
