Data Engineer

Summary

Builds and maintains regulatory reporting applications in F#/.NET for a financial services firm, focusing on data processing, validation, and compliance workflows.

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Data Engineer (F#/.NET) to join a strategic regulatory reporting programme within a leading financial services organisation. This role will focus on the development of reporting applications, data processing solutions, and validation frameworks that support critical regulatory reporting obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain regulatory reporting applications using F# and .NET technologies.
  • Build data processing, calculation and validation components to support reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Compliance and Data teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions.

Skills Required

  • Strong development experience in F', C# and/or .NET technologies.
  • Experience building enterprise applications involving data processing, transformation and reporting workflows.
  • Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and banking data standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with the EBA Data Point Model (DPM).
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks including COREP, FINREP, AnaCredit, Pillar 3 and Liquidity Reporting.
  • Experience with XBRL-based reporting solutions and regulatory taxonomies.
  • Previous experience within a banking or financial services environment

Education & Work Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years' experience in software development, data-focused application delivery, or regulatory reporting environments.
