Data Engineer Lead
Summary
Lead the data engineering function at Bibit (alongside Stockbit), an Indonesian fintech investment platform. Day to day: design and scale data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data models, own data architecture for analytics and reporting, improve data quality and governance, and mentor data engineers. Core stack: SQL, Python, cloud warehouses, orchestration, and streaming/batch processing.
We are looking for a Data Engineer Lead to build and scale reliable data systems for a fast-growing fintech investment platform like Stockbit & Bibit. You will lead the data engineering function, ensuring our teams have trusted, timely, and secure data to support product, growth, risk, and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data models.
- Lead data architecture for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Work closely with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data needs.
- Improve data quality, governance, documentation, and monitoring.
- Mentor data engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering, including SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with warehouses, orchestration tools, and streaming or batch processing.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, scalability, and reliability.
- Leadership experience in guiding technical projects and mentoring engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
