A successful Data Engineer (AI) should have:
- Over 5 years of software or data engineering experience, including at least 2 years delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments
- Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience building data engineering and I-powered applications
- Experience working with Azure OpenAI Service or OpenAI APIs, including chat completios, embeddings, and function calling capabilities
- Proven experience developing LLM-powered solutions using RAG pipelines, AI agents, tol integrations, and prompt engineering techniques
- Solid understanding of vector databases, embedding models, and Python-based ETL/ELT dta pipelines
- Experience with cloud AI platforms and API development using frameworks such as FastAI, Flask
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies such as MCP, agentic AI patterns, LangChain Semantic Kernel, multilingual AI models, or Responsible AI practices would be highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively aross cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A curious and innovative mindset, balanced with a practical approach towards reliabilty, scalability, and cost-conscious AI solution development
