Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Data Engineer to join our EMEA Business Operations team on a fixed-term contract. This role will focus on transforming operational business data into actionable insights by designing, building, and maintaining scalable data models and Power BI dashboards.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving data availability, reliability, and automation across EMEA, with a primary focus on integrating NetSuite data (via NetSuite Analytics Warehouse) into centralized reporting solutions.

This is a hybrid role based in Lokeren, Belgium, requiring on-site presence 2–3 days per week.

Requirements:

Professional experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics roles
  • Proven experience working with business intelligence tools (Power BI strongly preferred)
  • Experience implementing or working with NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) or similar data warehouse solutions

Skills

  • Strong expertise in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, report design, dashboard performance optimization)
  • Solid experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data warehouses
  • Experience integrating ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) into reporting environments
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data modelling (star schema), and data transformation techniques
  • Experience with automation of data refresh and scheduling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in international or multicultural environments is a plus

Language:

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
  • Eligibility to work in Belgium and travel within EU and UK as necessary
