Job Description
My client is looking for a Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Cork. This is a permanent role. Key Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Data Engineer designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience building robust ETL/ELT pipelines. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and associated data services. Solid understanding of modern data warehousing, data modelling, and big data technologies including Spark, Databricks, or Kafka. Proven experience with orchestration and automation tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar workflow platforms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Develop and optimise data models, data warehouses, and storage solutions to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements. Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data infrastructure to improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. Implement data governance, security, and best practices to ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
