Data Engineer - MS SQL
Summary
Sydney-based Data Engineer role centred on Microsoft SQL Server data platforms: building ETL/ELT pipelines, 3NF and dimensional warehouse modelling, and BI reporting/dashboards using SSIS, SSRS and SSMS. AWS (S3, Glue), Airflow, Qlik and DevOps/CI-CD experience are desirable extras.
Database (3NF) / data warehouse modelling (e.g. Star schema, Kimball, Snowflake, Hybrid) experience highly desirable
Data engineering with ETL/ELT tools or code pipelines or data analytics experience
Certification or working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall principles and methodologies
Experience with DevOps & CI/CD desirable but not critical
Experience with Data Lake, Data Mesh, AWS Cloud, Analytics, Cloud Reporting and/or Machine Learning desirable but not essential
Demonstrated strengths in Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS) and code scripting e.g. Linux/Unix Scripting (bsh, ksh), Powershell
Experience with AWS S3, Apache Airflow, Glue, Qlik, SAP Business Objects desirable
Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira) or MS Sharepoint desirable
Experience with incident management tools and workflows (e.g. support ticket applications)
Understanding of business applications, interfaces and integrated operational environments
