Data Engineer
Summary
Data Engineer at MSCI in Budapest who sets up data feeds with custodian banks and vendors, builds API-driven pipelines, automates data integration, and migrates investment data into the platform. Core stack: SQL and Python, with Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Airflow, or GCP as a plus.
- Establish data feeds with custodian banks, data vendors, and other service providers
- Support senior leadership, clients, and the broader Data Team in executing analyses and providing data-driven answers to questions
- Fully automate and centralize existing data integration processes
- Evaluate new APIs and build data pipelines to fetch and integrate their data
- Use internal proprietary tools to manipulate and migrate investment data into the Platform
- Interact regularly with other areas of the firm to collaborate on execution of tasks
- 1-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Financial Analyst
- Proficiency and experience with SQL and Python
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet reporting deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility with delivery of assignments
- Eagerness to tackle new or complex problems with the latest tools and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance preferred
- Familiarity with modern AI tools and experience with AI-driven development
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Airflow, or GCP
- Salary range: HUF 16,150,000-18,000,000
