Project Focus
- Help data‑driven organizations move, process, and store data by building data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed data meshes.
- Productionize machine learning models.
- Apply engineering practices to pick the best tools for the job.
- Use raw data gathered from data pipelines to build production‑ready scalable applications driven by data and AI.
Role Details
- Two full‑time weeks of hands‑on bootcamp training focusing on deployable code, containerization, data engineering, and cloud fundamentals.
- Work four days a week as a data engineer at one of our clients such as Heineken, Rabobank, ASML, Lely, FedEx, Vattenfall.
- Participate in weekly sessions at the Xccelerated office in Amsterdam or remotely, receiving ongoing training and project support from technical leads.
- At the end of the first year, opportunity to join the partner organization directly.
As a data engineer you will work with other mid‑ and senior‑level team members on challenging projects for our clients. Typical responsibilities include building data pipelines, productionizing machine learning models, and developing custom software solutions.
You will handle a variety of data types and formats, from batch to near‑real‑time, and scale from a single machine to distributed systems. You are comfortable with infrastructure in the cloud or on‑premises, and you apply engineering practices to choose the best tools, balancing complexity, maintainability, speed of development, quality, and value.
Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining data infrastructure and data‑intensive applications, creating insights, providing data to analytics teams, and deploying and configuring data infrastructure.

Candidate Profile
- Customer‑focused with a strong can‑do mindset and results orientation.
- Desire to complete challenging tasks and learn while doing.
- Technical bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, informatics, artificial intelligence, or software engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience as a data engineer or as a software engineer in a data environment.
- Knowledge of open‑source technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Kubernetes and experience with Python.
