Data Engineer
Summary
Lead data engineer for the AlphaCloud data center at Infrabel: owns ITSM and access-control applications, supplier contracts and SLAs, and Power BI/Grafana reporting for the data center, while managing a technical team. Requires 10+ years in IT and data installations, strong Power BI, and 5 years each of team and supplier management.
We are looking for an experienced "lead engineer DATA" for the AlphaCloud data center.
Ideally 10 to 15 years of experience with IT, rather a generalist with experience in the field of IT infrastructure (server, network), OS (MS & open source), DB, data and applications, but must be able to go specific if necessary.
Strong in power BI reporting.
5 years of experience in operationally managing a team of technical profiles.
5 years of experience in managing suppliers (for AlphaCloud, IT is an outsourced service at Infrabel).
Experience with OT is a plus.
Reports to the Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the IT solutions for the daily management of the AlphaCloud datacenter
- Follow-up of Infrabel's outsourced IT services (incident, request, change).
- Responsible for the ITSM application for the management of the AlphaCloud data center.
- Responsible for the TOTEM application for the automation of access control to the data center.
- Supporting the applications for the management of the data center: BMS physical security & DCMS monitoring of the OT installations.
- Managing supplier (internal & external) contracts with a focus on SLA.
- Responsible for the housing SLA reporting of the data center (customers power BI, SP & Grafana)
- Responsible for the KPI reporting of the data center (power BI EED)
- Delivering power BI reports to support operational excellence of the data center (master data versus production data)
- Managing the AlphaCloud team in the field of data solutions.
- Providing input for determining policy, processes and procedures in the context of the ISO standard of the data center, with specific attention to the ISO27001 standard.
- Actively participate in internal, external and customer audits
Profile
- Bachelor of master Electro Information Technology or equivalent by experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in the management of IT & data installations.
- At least 5 years of experience in coaching and operational management of direct employees
- Experience with customers and supplier management
- Experience with ISO27001 standardization.
