Summary
Data Engineer building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure/AWS using Python, SQL, Databricks/Snowflake/Redshift, Airflow, and dbt in a hybrid London role.
Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Commercial experience working with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or Redshift
- Experience using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory or Prefect
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modelling principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a delivery-focused mindset
- Comfortable working within cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience with dbt
- Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience within a high-growth SaaS or technology business
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience supporting machine learning or AI workloads
- Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines across multiple data sources
- Develop and optimise cloud-based data platforms to support analytics and operational reporting
- Build robust data models and transformation workflows using modern engineering best practices
- Ensure data quality, governance and reliability through monitoring, validation and testing
- Work closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Optimise pipeline performance, scalability and cost efficiency
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our cloud data architecture
- Help establish best practices around automation, documentation and CI/CD within the data team
